Spring colours in Savelsbos

This year I visited the woodland close to my home, in search for some spring woodland scenes.

In some places of this beautiful woodland called Savelsbos, the wild garlic thrives a lot and creates a beautiful carpet on the forest floor. This in combination with the fresh greens of the newly sprung leaves on the trees makes these woodland scenes always inviting to photograph.

For me, the forest gives an extra sense of serenity and peacefulness during springtime. A perfect place to relax and to connect with nature.

In this short blog I have enclosed my most favourite images of this years spring in the Savelsbos. I visited this woodland a few times close to sunset. The soft warm light and the absence of hard wind gusts made it less difficult to photograph.

All images are shot with my favourite Fujifilm 33mm f1.4 lens and edited in Capture One with the Fujifilm Astia (Soft) film simulation.
